The Association of Dental Groups (ADG) is dedicated to improving the oral health of the nation through enhancing access and quality of care available.

All its members meet certain standards in order to help drive innovation and promote the benefits of effective skill mix utilisation in practices of all sizes. They also support various charitable causes to raise awareness of oral diseases and provide donations to help charities continue their great work.

As part of this commitment, professionals from Community Dental Services (CDS) CIC recently took part in the Mouth Cancer Awareness 10k in London’s Hyde Park, aiming to raise awareness of dangers of mouth cancer.

CEO, Alison Reid, who took part in the event said:

“This is something we all feel passionately about as a company and helping patients become more mouth aware is one way to help prevent this disease. We are on the front line in terms of promoting good oral health for everyone as a way of preventing and detecting mouth cancer, especially amongst those who for whatever reason are unable to access high street dental services and hard to reach communities.”

CDS have raised just over £500 so far, but donations are still very welcome at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=CDS_CiC
