The Association of Dental Groups (ADG) works hard to support professional education in its strive to promote dental excellence in the UK.

In addition to the ADG’s own postgraduate and undergraduate Bursary Awards, its members share the same enthusiasm for sharing information and advice among all healthcare professionals, for the ultimate benefit of patients.

A member of the ADG, Community Dental Services (CDS) recently held a study day on the topic of ‘Oral Health – The Gateway to Better Health’.

Organised by the group’s Oral Health Improvement Team, the day provided an opportunity for various healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge and understanding in the importance of a healthy mouth for better general wellbeing. School nurses, dieticians, dental personnel and those involved with public health attended, with topics ranging from oral cancer to HPV, sexual health and oral health in relation to dementia.
