Despite hard work and targeted programmes throughout the UK, the number of children having teeth out in hospital continues to rise and children’s oral health remains critical. However, the Association of Dental Groups (ADG) is confident that the situation can be turned around – dental caries is avoidable, after all.

ADG is working closely with member groups and key figures in both the profession and government to establish a solution that could help to reverse the growing problem.

While action is being taken in the form of Sugar Tax, the Check by One campaign and programmes such as Teeth Team, more can always be done. As such, the ADG hopes to see new strategies introduced in the coming year and beyond, whilst continuing to support current schemes in place.

If you’d like to discover more about the Association’s involvement in children’s oral health or interested in becoming a member, contact the ADG today.
