The British Association of Dental Nurses is delighted that the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) has announced its support for the BADN Menopause Policy launched in March this year.

The Policy outlines the challenges faced by menopausal women in the workplace and suggests ways in which employers can support menopausal employees.  Dental practices, laboratories, clinics, organisations and dental industry companies – and their veterinary equivalents –  are asked to adopt the Policy and implement it in their workplace.

BVNA Junior Vice President, Charlotte Pace RVN said “BVNA are very pleased to be supporting BADN’s menopause policy, and we look forward to a close relationship with another association outside the veterinary profession, working towards a greater understanding of the importance of One Health.”

BADN’s Menopause Policy is also supported by the British Society of Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT), the College of General Dentistry (CGDent), the Dental Laboratories Association (DLA), the Dental Technologists’ Association (DTA), and the Orthodontic National Group (ONG).

The advice sheet/policy is available on the BADN website www.badn.org.uk

Charlotte recently attended the BADN 80th Anniversary Afternoon Tea; her blog is available at https://bvna.org.uk/blog/the-badn-british-association-of-dental-nurses-anniversary-afternoon-tea.
