Perio Plus+ from Curaprox is an alcohol-free range of oral rinses which protects teeth and gums from diseases such as dental caries, gingivitis and periodontitis.
The rinses contain chlorhexidine (CHX), well known for reducing bacterial plaque,[i] together with CITROX®, an ingredient naturally-derived from bitter oranges. Combined with polylysine amino acids, the formulation (CITROX®/P formula) adheres well to the teeth, gums and oral mucosa ensuring a long-lasting effect.
There are three variants in the line-up: Perio Plus+ Forte, an extra intensive rinse, boasting CHX at 0.2%, for use before and after invasive dental procedures; Perio Plus+ Regenerate, a rinse featuring hyaluronic acid that helps to support tissue regeneration and treatment-related dry mouth; and Perio Plus+ Balance, an everyday rinse with a CHX concentration of 0.05%.
