Henry Schein Dental announces its collaboration with Dental Beauty Partners, a UK dental practice group, to provide critical dental services to up to 2,300 children. The organizing team from Dental Beauty Partners will actively engage with food banks, schools, and local children’s centers to identify and reach out to the children and young people most in need. The dental clinics for these children will be run from 12 to 22 February 2024.

Dental Beauty Partners will contribute to this outreach programme by opening the doors of 19 of the company’s clinics in and around London, demonstrating the spirit of partnership and the willingness of the dental community to help those most in need.

“Working with Henry Schein on this cause aligns with our spirit of giving back. We are delighted to be part of an initiative that can have such a positive impact on the lives of so many children,” said Dev Patel, CEO and founder of Dental Beauty Partners.

In addition to providing dental check-ups and treatment, the team will seek to create a welcoming and engaging environment for the participants, with activities aimed at alleviating the fear of visiting the dentist.  To ensure that children keep up with the dental care after the programme, Henry Schein will provide each child with a kit of essential dental care supplies for a daily oral health care routine.

“At Henry Schein, we believe in ‘doing well by doing good,’ and giving back to the community is an example of that,” said James Salter, Head of Equipment and Co-Chair at Henry Schein Cares UK.  “Every child deserves to have healthy teeth and a healthy smile, and with this initiative we are helping to make that a reality for many children who have limited or no access to dental care.”

This project is a testament to Henry Schein’s commitment to community well-being and is part of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility programme, which stands on five pillars: empowering team Schein to reach their potential, advancing health equity and expanding access to care for underserved communities, accelerating environmental sustainability, strengthening, and diversifying our supply chain, and maintaining strong ethical governance. Health care activities supported by Henry Schein Cares focus on four main areas: (1) wellness, treatment, prevention, and education; (2) capacity building; (3) emergency preparedness and disaster response; and (4) health system strengthening.
